Jimmy Hank Williams - Director/Teacher
Rocky Mountain Aardvarks, Denver CO
Jimmy Hank Williams’ interest in music began as a child pounding out tunes on the family piano and drum kit. Growing up in music-rich Austin, Hank fell deeply in love with his local guitar-slinger heroes and singer-song writers. MTV was constantly on at his house and he began attending concerts around the age of 3. The Beach Boys, Melissa Etheridge and the Doobie Brothers are amongst his earliest musical memories.
Hank began his stage life at the age of 15 playing in a country-swing band and has never looked back. Currently, Hank is the Director of Awesomeness for the Denver based Rocky Mountain Aardvarks. He also plays music in Odessa Rose, an Americana Swing trio. He began teaching private lessons in 2003 and has found inspiration in the wonder every new student shows as well as in the evolving discussion of what music brings to each of us. Hank joined Rocky Mountain Aardvarks in 2016 and lives in Northwest Denver with his wife, three children and dog (George:)
